Wikipedia talk:Sockpuppet investigations/جواد رمضانی شوراب

@Berean Hunter: You archived the case to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/جواد رمضانی شوراب/Archive. But, the link to the archive is not showing on the page. What's wrong? Is it because of Arabic letters? Vanjagenije (talk) 20:23, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I think so. Here is a direct link but when I try to make a relative link:
  • [[Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/جواد رمضانی شوراب]], my cursor is jumping around when it gets to the arabic letters. Bizarre. I've never seen that before. We may want to mention this at WT:SPI. Can you make the link above?

Following on from that, is it worth renaming this SPI case to one of the sockmaster's other accounts, or to "Javad Ramezani brine", which is what Google Translate transliterates this username to? Nearly all of the user's 100+ socks use Latin-character names, and it seems actively unhelpful to force other editors to deal with a hard-to-copypaste (and for most English-speaking editors unreadable) username, simply because it happens to be the oldest sock account we've found. --McGeddon (talk) 19:34, 22 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
