Geography

Baheri is located at 28°47′N 79°30′E / 28.78°N 79.5°E / 28.78; 79.5.[1] It has an average elevation of 283 metres (928 feet). It is situated at equidistant (nearby 47 km) from Bareilly and Haldwani on Nainital road .

Society

Baheri is socially strong, people ,in terms of all major caste and religions, live here peacefully.Many people of Jat origin live here as well as Sikhs.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Baheri had a population of 58,577. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Baheri has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 82% of the males and 58% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
