My sense is that he's one of these that sends out monthly links to bulk download pages which subscribers get the password to, but said pages become invalid when the next month's page goes live - so you'd only ever get one month's worth of content for one month's worth of payment.

That is indeed correct. But the download host is as slow as fuck so you can never dl everything so its a bit of a gamble

the smart(er) play is to wait for one of his bogof deals makes my dollar stretch a bit further he does two a year i think. His birthday and then thanksgiving iirc.
